Message The velocity of air through the MAS is dependent on the pressure differential before and after it, and the diameter of the MAS itself. If your engine is breathing more air, there will be an increase in velocity of air through the MAS, but that's only because the engine is breathing more air. If you optimize the path of air through the intake (which is after the MAS), then the engine will breathe better and there will be an increase in the velocity of air going through the MAS, but that will be exactly what should happen and everything will be fine.

If you were to change the diameter of the MAS pipe, you would be changing the velocity of air through the MAS and it would no longer be calibrated with the VQ table, but you didn't make any mention of changing the MAS so that wouldn't be the case, and there wont be any problems.
